Mokoko is a relatively new cafe in the new development at Whapping Wharf in Bristol.

Its got bench style seating, lovely coffee and a wide range of food and cakes, all of which is made on site. The nice thing about that is that you can directly ask the chefs what's in the food and they will know.  We've not tried the savoury food yet but the cakes are delicious. The only ones currently dairy egg and soya free are the Raw Cacao Chocolate cake and the Banana and Chocolate Cake.

I know that's only two but the Banana and Chocolate cake is amazing and well worth a visit.

There's also high chairs!

Will update this once we've had a look at the savoury food.

Always remember to double check with the restaurant, they are liable to change and add things in whenever they want!!

Costa Coconut Milk Warning

Costa Coconut Milk Warning So, this is really really annoying! Costa have started doing COCONUT MILK as a dairy alternative! Yay!! No yay.... The coconut milk they're using also has SOYA in it. If your child is like mine and also has a SOYA intolerance because it often cross reacts with the milk protein, then be warned! What's even more annoying is that there are coconut milks that DON'T have soya in it. Recipe: Vegan Sponge

Vegan Sponge This is a really easy and good one for doing as a base to a cake - marry it up with butter icing and jam inside or make into muffins and syringe into the middle some jam and/or butter icing! You can find this recipe here 100g Vitalite 150g Caster Sugar 200g Self Raising Flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 200ml Oat milk Vanilla Essence Put everything into a bowl and mix! Place into a greased baking tin or silicone muffin cases. Bake at 180c for 30 mins - less if doing muffins - check that a skewer comes out clean It should be golden, firm and springy Enjoy :)
