This is a little tiny shop in one of those containers down at Whapping Wharf!  I popped my head in with my LO and asked about non dairy ice cream. They said they had sorbet, so I said thanks but no thanks.... he doesn't like sorbet and neither do I - all too icy for me!

But then they said - have you tried OUR sorbet..... so I did!

Wow!

Its like actual ice cream. Not icy at all, and really really smooth. My son and I tried the banana, chocolate and strawberry and he loved them all! They're all dairy, egg and soya free!

I also tried the alcoholic Thatchers Gold sorbet - delicious!

Served by the tub or cone or £7 for 500ml tub.

Costa Coconut Milk Warning

Costa Coconut Milk Warning So, this is really really annoying! Costa have started doing COCONUT MILK as a dairy alternative! Yay!! No yay.... The coconut milk they're using also has SOYA in it. If your child is like mine and also has a SOYA intolerance because it often cross reacts with the milk protein, then be warned! What's even more annoying is that there are coconut milks that DON'T have soya in it. Recipe: Vegan Sponge

Vegan Sponge This is a really easy and good one for doing as a base to a cake - marry it up with butter icing and jam inside or make into muffins and syringe into the middle some jam and/or butter icing! You can find this recipe here 100g Vitalite 150g Caster Sugar 200g Self Raising Flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 200ml Oat milk Vanilla Essence Put everything into a bowl and mix! Place into a greased baking tin or silicone muffin cases. Bake at 180c for 30 mins - less if doing muffins - check that a skewer comes out clean It should be golden, firm and springy Enjoy :)
